High-Bandwidth Visualization

DisplayPort is a packet-based interface designed to replace older standards like DVI and VGA. On our carrier boards like the BNX, it allows for direct visualization of camera streams or AI inference results on high-resolution monitors without significant CPU overhead.

Architecture

DisplayPort uses a Main Link for data transfer and an AUX channel for device management.

Versatility

  • Multi-Stream Transport (MST): Allows multiple monitors to be driven from a single DisplayPort connector via daisy-chaining.
  • Embedded DisplayPort (eDP): Optimized for internal connections between the SOM and integrated screens, reducing power and pins.
